(1) 3/4 is larger than 3/7 because in 3/4, 3 is only 1 away from 4, while in 3/7, 3 is 4 away from 7.
(2)Beacuse both of the numerators, are 3, we only have to compare the demonimators. Since the smaller the denominator, the larger the pieces, and 4 is less than 7, 3/4 is larger.
1.) 1/2 is larger because the numerator is closer to the denominator..like in 1/2, 1 is only one away from 2 and in 2/5, 2 is 3 away from 5.
2.) because when you change it to a decimal 1/2 equals to 0.5 and 2/5 equals to 0.4...so, by changing them to a decimal, you can tell that 1/2 is larger than 2/5:))

3/6 = 4/8
1)These two fractions are the same because they are both half of their whole.
2)3 x 8 = 24 4 x 6 = 24
- -- - --
6 x 8 = 48 8 x 6 = 48
if you multiply the fraction by the other denominator you will ballance it out.
see they are both equal :)
1/2 > 2/5
1. If you both change them into decimals 1/2= 0.5
And 2/5= 0.4
Changing them into decimals you can tell 1/2 is larger
2.If you change them into percents 1/2=50% and 2/5 = 40%
Changing them to percents you can see 1/2 is larger
which is larger?
1/2 or 7/12?
first off:
1 x 12 12
- = --
2 x 12 24 and then,
7 x 2 14
- - = --
12 x 2 24
so obviouslyy 14/24 is bigger than 12/24 :):) i'm done.
3/6 = 4/8
1. 3/6 equals 4/8 because they are equivalent fractions of 1/2.
2. If you do the division, 3/6 equals 0.5 and 4/8 equals 0.5
5 9ths is larger than 3 8ths because even though it has a larger denominator it has a larger numerator and also it's closer to the whole..
