JR's First Growing Post

First we drew the route of the 60 km bike race. Then we put a legend so you can see where each stop was. 60 represents as 60 km divided by every way (ex. every 4th, 8th and 5th)
Food Wagon : 1/4 , 60/4 = 15 km
Water : 1/10 , 60/10 =6
Juice : 1/5 , 60/5 =12
Km markers : 1/12 , 1/6 and also 1/3

Wich is larger?
1/2 + 1/6 or 1/3 + 1/4 ?

60 represents as 60 minutes in a clock divided by the denominator then add your answers together to get your answer of wich fraction is larger?
Example: (1/2) 60/2 = 30 min
(1/6) 60/6 = 10 min (then add 30 + 10)
= 40 mins

(1/3) 60/3 = 20 min
(1/4) 60/4 = 15 min ( then add 20 + 15)
= 35 min
1/2 and 1/6 is larger
