Which is larger, 1/2 + 1/6 or 1/4 + 7/12.

The top is 1/2 + 1/6 which equals to 30 min + 10 min.
Those two numbers equal to 40 min.
The bottom is 1/4 + 7/12 which equals to 15min + 35 min. Those two numbers equal to 50 min.

Obviously you could see that the bottom is larger.
