alicia's pythagoras growing post

WHAT IS A PYTHAGOREAN THEORUM?

A pythagorean triple are three unknown numbers: a , b and c that satisfy a2+b2=c2. Another pythagorean triple other than 3 , 4 and 5 is 6 , 8 , and 10.

a=6 -> a2=36 (6 x 6 = 36)
b=8 -> b2=64 (8 x 8 = 64)
c=10 -> c2=100 (10 x 10 = 100)

a2 + b2 = c2
36 + 64 = 100

heyy, nice problem! :)
here's my solution:
we know:
a=10
b=16
c=?

a2+b2=c2
10(2)+ 16(2) = c2
100 + 256= c2
356 = c2
(square root) 356 = (sqare root) c2
18.86 = c
